Greg Norman’s First Golf Course Design in Indonesia

Riverside Golf Club is one of several golf courses within easy reach from Jakarta and Bogor, because it was in the middle of the highway linking the two cities. Riverside Golf Club became Greg Norman’s first golf course design in Indonesia. Characteristic of Norman in golf course design is to unite the course with the natural surroundings. This design was “letting” the beauty and wildness of nature around as it is.
Riverside offers a variety of challenges that “disturbing” golfers of various levels to mobilize all of their abilities. Every hole a different challenge is a special feature that makes golfers want to go back to testing the toughness of this course. Generally, the hole-hole which is par 5 is a blind hole. In addition, players who has handicap over 18 will find it hard to play at the Riverside, especially if you tee off from the blue.
Hole 4, 11th, and 14th par 3 requires golfers accuracy and confidence. The third hole was protected by a wide chasm so if you miss hit will collect a lot of hole-hole stroke in this. Hole 14th, for example. This hole has no fairway almost as a landing zone when the tee box.
